A life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Secretary of Post 7067 Ladies Auxiliary, Talitha Nichelle Bing feels that her life and resources are most valuable when they are used to help others. This is best evidenced by the more than 2,000 volunteer hours she has contributed to the VFW. She brought national attention to a ten year old cancer patient at Good Hope Baptist Church, where she is a member, when a letter she wrote to the Tom Joyner Morning Show was aired on March 4. Talitha uses her royalty titles to make the most benevolent impact possible in the lives of her neighbors. She regularly writes to President Obama, whose Inauguration she attended in January.
Talitha holds a Bachelor of Arts (Cum Laude) degree in English from Claflin University, where, at 20, she was the youngest member of her class. She is a freelance writer, particularly for Ehow.com, and also maintains her own website www.angelfire.com/hero/talitha/index.html.
Talitha is a member of Good Hope Baptist Church, where she serves on the Usher Board. She also enjoys making jewelry, painting children’s faces at carnivals, and she is a volunteer Weather Observer for the CoCoRaHs Network.
Talitha is the youngest girl of the four children of Janet Bing. Her heroes are her mother and her Lord.
